Which One: I have been taking photos for years I even made my living at one time doing weddings but now its just for fun. I learned the old way with "film" and now I am into digital.

I have been taking photos for years I even made my living at one time doing weddings but now its just for fun. I learned the
old way with "film" and now I am into digital.

The first digital camera I owned was the Nikon D100......then the D7000 and now I want to purchase another one but I can't decide
between the Nikon D7500 and the D750.

I would like any comments on this.

Its a no brainer. If you want full frame get the D750. If you want a great crop frame thats fast and very well built, get the D500. If you want an excellent crop frame that is capable of producing just as excellent images, get the D7200. My opinion, the D7500 is too new on the market and is currently overpriced.

I'm not a Nikon guy. But I'll paraphrase amphoto. If your shooting portraits or landscapes, go full frame. Otherwise, the new crop cameras will save enough to buy a new lens. Just one bit of information that sticks in my brain.

If you "learned the old way, with film", you may have kept some of your older Nikon glass. Works great on my FX Nikon cameras and it's fun to dig out an old "prime" lens now and again. If, on the other hand, you went wild with DX lenses when you went digital, you might want to stick with it.

If I were you I'd just hold your horses (if you Americans still use that term !) for just a few more months...... it might even be not that long !

Nikon are heavily into re-structuring at present, that's obvious, and need to do something quickly to rejuvenate and revitalise their market fortunes.

There is, without doubt, a new camera product just around the corner ........ very likely to be a full-frame mirrorless camera.

Do your research. Decide exactly what you want from a new Nikon. Will you be satisfied with one of those two you mention above ...... or can you / are you prepared, to wait until Nikon turns the corner and unleashes their new product?

Neither, the D500 is the camera for you. You old pro dog you.

I made the jump from a D7000 to the D810 Full frame. I suggest that you go to the
D750, It is full frame, and you can shoot in Dx mode if you want. My camera
will will switch to several DX modes. The 1.5 Dx is 24mp. The detail is incredible and you won't regret going full frame.
