Suggestions for Photoshop Training

I am a LR and PS subscriber. I purchased Laura Shoe's excellent training series for LR. I am now using Linda.com for learning about PS. The training is good but is only available if I have an active subscription. Do you folks have any recommendations on a source of PS training similar to Laura Shoe's that will allow me to purchase the videos for later references and review?

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Check out Creative live and Udemy. Both are you buy it, have it forever, no subscription. Both have pretty good sales from time to time. Lots of classes.

There is a relatively new course from Matt Kloskowski aimed at Lightroom users that want to understand and use Photoshop techniques. I'm about 3/4 through it. The instruction is excellent. When you buy the course, you copy all off the videos and course work to your computer. I don't know if you "own" them under copyright law, but you have them for indefinite use and reference. It does not depend on subscriptions or online connections to run.

What may be uniquely different about the Kloskowski course is that it assumes your primary software is Lightroom and your workflow starts there. In other words, the focus is on how to use Photoshop to add capability to Lightroom, not how to use it instead of Lightroom.

Regarding Lynda.com, check with your public library. Mine offers free access.

Besides Laura Shoe, I find that Ben Willmore is an excellent instructor. His course "Adobe® Photoshop® CC: The Complete Guide" is excellent. It is available from Creative Live, but not inexpensive. Once you purchase it, you have any time access to the course. It is broken down into 20 lessons that range from just under an hour to almost two hours in length. If you have broadband internet and enough storage space, you can download all the lessons. I did that, then burned them onto DVDs so that I have the course no matter what. Recommended.

If you have or can get a library card for your local library, check to see if they offer free access to Lynda.com. My library does. I just log in with my library card number and pin and that provides full access from home.
