Seattle will be 92% totality. This is my first attempt to shoot an eclipse and have read Mr. Eclipse, etc. I understand that shooting a partial eclipse has different challenges. I assume I should not remove the solar filter at maximum coverage. Can someone please confirm?

Thanks, Stan

Yes, you'll have to leave your filter on from start to finish; as I understand it, the view of the Sun unfiltered, even at the high percentage of coverage by the Moon in your city, would still appear quite bright, and quite able to do major damage to eyes and camera sensors.

So, we're supposed to be at 97%. I guess if I want to shoot unfiltered for that (closest to) totality moment, I am just gambling on sensor damage? I would on use live view and not look at the sun.
