Most mornings I look out of my kitchen window to watch the pigeons feeding at the bird table. However, this morning all I was greeted with was a bird table surrounded by feathers and not a pigeon to be seen.
While cleaning up I noticed a foot amongst the feathers (just a foot, nothing attached). Never one to miss a macro opportunity I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures.
I have attached my favourite and a picture of the sight that greeted me this morning.

A fox or a badger?
I think it was a sparrow hawk although I can't be sure. I found one in the garden plucking a pigeon a few years ago. It was being harried by two magpies trying to steal it's kill.
Hawks have to eat as well and a good population control for pigeons.
Pigeons are winged vermin. No great lose.
looks like a chicken foot, or something that will rip your heart out while your sleeping
