I'm using Classroom in a Book to learn Lightroom, but the Laura Shoe course is on sale so I thought I would ask.

After some time struggling with Lightroom, I invested in the Laura Shoe course. Perhaps the timing was just right, but at that point, the course brought it together for me. I recommend it. The ability to watch the videos at one's own pace, and to re-watch the videos, makes the difference.

Yes, I have looked at YouTube. There certainly is an embarrassment of riches, but that's part of the problem. Also, it takes time to evaluate who's videos are worth the time. Thanks!

Not sure about Laura Shoe's tutorials or even who she is, expand your options and review what Udemy.com has to offer.

Udemy has some deep discounts on tutorial packages at very affordable prices. https://www.udemy.com

I have found Anthony Morganti's video Tutorials on You Tube to be easy to follow.

I have both her "Fundamentals and Beyond" DVD and "Producing Great Output". I have never been through both completely, as they are organized in a way that makes learning specific topics very easy. She even highlights which lessons are of primary importance and which can be put off for later. This is to help those new to LR to get up and running as quickly as possible.

I recommend that you go to her website and sample her free instructions to see if you like her teaching style. If so, I can highly recommend her DVDs as a learning tool and a future reference.

I too struggled with LR and bought Laura's CD and it opened the door. I was to the point of just dropping LR but now it is another usable option for me to use. It's well worth the money and I have receiver free updates too!

The YouTubes just do not go into the detail of what you need to learn Lightroom.

Unfortunately, I feel the same way about a Lightroom course I paid good money for from Creative Live. Courses by Mike Hagen are worthwhile, though ( he's on Creative Live).

IMHO, you can't go wrong with Laura Shoe. I have both videos and I became a Lightroom "Expert" by watching both, some things multiple times. This is a GREAT set for the $, even better when on sale. Go for it! Best of luck.
