My little garden alongside the garage is starting to produce. Delphinium's are out of control and Lily's are hardly tall enough to see. The Clematis, Cosmos and Black-eyed Susan's will come in bloom a bit later.
Gary, your garden is looking good. I didn't realize Delphiniums got that tall!
Now for the rest. Your Delphinium and Lily portraits are awesome. The detail, sharpness and lighting are outstanding.I don't see how they could be any better!
Gary,
These are superb shots. Thanks for sharing !

Carol, I am very pleased you like my little garden. The Delphinium's are out of control ever year. They started sprouting just after the snow was gone. The Lily's are my favorite subject so far, and I have some different colors almost ready. I'm glad you liked them.

A superb series of images Gary. All of the closeups are beauties, and the black backgrounds add an element of impact. In this series, my favorite is #4. Just a gorgeous photo with pleasing composition.

Hi sundar,
I'm thrilled you liked the flower pics. I really like close-up photography, especially flowers. I wish I had more time for gardening, but if I don't have it, I can always play in my neighbor's garden.

Hi tbell7D,
I'm glad you liked the flower pics. A black background is always a good choice, but I prefer a dark diffused natural background whenever possible. When nothing looks good, go with the black.

Lovely garden, flowers and shots, Gary... I especially enjoyed your rain quenched lilies against the black background!

Hi angela k,
Thank you for your kind comments. You know, the rain droplets are just fake rain. I prefer the real thing, but either way it adds a nice touch. For me it's just part of the fun.
