Sony A7ii sensor cleaning

My camera is in dire need of cleaning. I took it to my local camera store and they could not clean it because Sony requires that they clean it. This of course requires sending it back to Sony. Really?

Have you tried a Rocket Blaster. If not try:

they tell how to do it.

Yes, I did the rocket blaster. Nice video but I'm afraid to try it myself.

Is the camera under warranty? If it is not under warranty it shouldn't matter to Sony where you get it cleaned. I doubt that Canon or Nikon warranties will cover damage to a sensor by a botched 'unauthorized' cleaning effort either.
Sony instructions for cleaning sensor can be found here. https://esupport.sony.com/info/732/US/EN/. It says if this doesn't work to contact a Sony dealer or authorized service center.

Nikon site says 'Dirt that cannot be removed with a blower can only be removed by a Nikon-authorized service center.'

Canon site says 'If a smudge that cannot be removed with a blower remains, having the sensor cleaned by a Canon Service Center is recommended.'

Same difference.

Google Sensor Loupe.
It will solve your problems.
It always worked for me.

I use this gel stick. This is the only gel stick you can safely use on Sony image sensors.

Heed the warning:
"You might find a similar looking item on Amazon from sellers in China. Please do NOT buy those – we have received some horror stories from people who had their AA filters ripped out from their cameras, thanks to using a fake Chinese version of this product. We are the only distributor of the Sensor Gel Stick in the USA and our product is proudly made in Germany"

This happened to me!
It delaminated the AA filter stack.
