Nice shot of lenticular cloud formations. Rather common occurrence on the eastern side of the Sierras. Besides, all the "ju-ju" from Area 51 heads south towards Mexico. They have already messed up Mono Lake ...

Yes these are quite common on the eastern slopes of the Sierras - as for Mono Lake at least they are no longer letting LA have all it's water and are slowly raising the level some - I remember when it was full in '51.

Yes< Lenticulars, usually formed over mountain tops, indicating high winds aloft. We see them regularly around the Greater Las Vegas and Pahrump valleys. Sometimes quite large.

Looks like "swamp gas" to me! :)
Some times I see lenticular clouds stacked like records on top of the San Bernardino mountains. Will have to look up where a picture is.
