This is a sale for the original first version Canon 55-250 IS lens #52412219. It is missing the OEM lenshood. It now has a smaller metal hood with a generic front cap for the hood - like I recommend. Comes with OEM rear cap and a nice soft pouch/case (not shown) .
CONDITION: Excellent (9+ ) Cleaned and tested by me. I see no detractions cosmetic, optical, or functional. One of Canon's all time great budget lenses !

Two questions :
Is this version quiet ? My AF on my STM lenses are silent . Being a non-STM lens I know it isn't silent but was wondering if it is at least quiet .
And can you take a check or a money order ?

Yes, I would say it is quiet, - but not silent - can take a check or money order too.....
