Hi to all, I recently purchased a Nikon D750 w/ 28-120mm vr f/4 lens. I totally love it, moved up from DX D7100, what a difference. I use Photoshop Elements 11. I shoot raw with jpeg back up on slot 2. When I try to process in photoshop, I keep getting a message that capture raw is not recognized. I have downloaded the newest capture raw files but still keep getting the same message. If anyone can shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
PS11 may not support your newer camera You may need to purchase a more current version of PS
Check to make sure that you have the latest updates to your program. As new cameras are released, Adobe updates the software. However, after some point they cease doing that and this requires a purchase of the latest program.

That's an easy one... Your version of Elements is too old to handle the RAW files from the camera. You have choices:
1. Download the free DNG Converter and convert your NEF files to DNG, which can then be processed in Elements 11. DNG is Adobe's "universal RAW" file type. But it's not perfect. Research online before converting all your NEF (or just save the originals, too).
2. Buy a newer version of Elements (about $70) that can handle the camera's RAW files.
3. Buy Lightroom 6 (~$145) and use that for organization and RAW conversions, which can then be passed off to Elements 11 for any additional work you want to do.
4. Subscribe to the Photoshop CC/Lightroom CC package ($10 a month when you prepay a year). You can LR CC the same way as LR6, passing images off to Elements... or learn to use PS CC (which is extremely complex compared to Elements).
5. Look for some other RAW conversion tool... maybe a free one came with your camera? There are other free or low cost RAW converters available.
