I am moving up the rungs on the ladder.
After two honourable mentions coming in the top ten winners of two previous international competitions run by The Alverton Gallery in Penzance, UK. I am thrilled to have been awarded the Bronze Prize for the 'Month of May' competition. The shot was taken whilst on holiday in Austria and the temperature was 30c (86f) and there was still snow on the mountains. It was in a large plant pot in the car park with lots of cars and lampposts. I had to crop it a lot to get the shot just showing the mountains and flower.
I have posted this shot earlier on UHH and would like to say, your always kind, encouraging comments and interest in my work has given me the confidence to enter the competitions.......so thank you very much my friends.

Congratulations. I love the juxtaposition of something that needs to have hot weather to bloom against the coolness of the snow in the background.

Congratulations. Beautiful shot. The only thing I would have done different is place the bloom a little to the left and included more of the leaves towards towards the bottom. Once again a beautiful shot. Placing high or winning a photo competition is always a great feeling. Your first place is coming.
