This is most unusual that you see a heron swimming. For the first time I saw this heron who was not only swimming but fishing. At first I thought that it was a goose or
some kind of duck.

You're right. I've only seen one get completely wet when it was taking a bath. And it was dirty too. You should have seen all the dirt floating on top of the water when it was flapping away taking a bath.

I did not know this behavior existed. I have photographed these for a long time and have never seen it before. Great capture.

Great catch! I've never seen one swimming! Obviously he didn't heed his mother's advice to not go swimming immediately after a meal!
