You captured a magical moment in nature. Thanx for posting. The only raptor I saw fledge was a Red Tailed Hawk. It crash landed up side down in a Pine Tree. It was hysterical. Gary

Been waiting a long time... Junior has been flapping his/her wings for weeks... I go every couple of days with the camera and sometimes I get lucky... This was the first time I know of that he was flying away from the nest...

Mom and Dad have been away from the nest more and more lately... More than once I have seen the kid almost fall out of the nest while flapping it's wings...
Took a few weeks of flapping on his part and patience on my part...
