My wife and I took a little ride (35 mi) across the border to Spokane, WA yesterday to visit their puritanical garden. We only had time to see the rose garden because my wife is still recovering form a broken hip.
The roads are a little screwed up because Spokane is setting up 522 basketball courts in their downtown business area which is apparently the world's largest 3 on 3 basketball tournaments this weekend, and at the same time Coeur d'Alene (where I live) is hosting the International Iron Man Triathlon. I think we will stay home this weekend.
Gorgeous group of rose photos.

Hi tball7D,
Thank you for your kind comment.

Lovely rose shots, Gary. Roses make very good subjects and the variety you find in a rose garden is usually amazing. I really have a fondness for the yellow roses! Very well done series!

Hi Carol,
I'm glad you liked the rose pics. For me, roses are more difficult to get an acceptable exposure, especially red roses. This time I shot everything with the 105mm lens on manual focus and manual exposure. Even though the wind created a lot of movement, it was still a great day to get out a take pictures.

Beautiful shots, colors and details, Gary and bonus water droplets!!
....if only we had smell-o-pc!!!

Hi Angela,
Thank you so much for your comments. The water droplets were defiantly a bonus. When we arrived at the rose garden, their sprinklers were going full blast. It wasn't long until they turned off, and we were left with beautiful water droplets on everything. Just good timing.

Hi Tikva,
Thank you so much for your comment. It was a very enjoyable day, walking through a beautiful garden, plus being able to take a few pictures. My wife and I topped it off with a stop at Bask and Robbins for some ice-cream.

Hi woodweasel,
It sounds like your rose garden is absolutely wonderful in Bellingham. No, this one is on the other side of the mountain's in Spokane. I snick across the border from Coeur d'Alene every chance I can just to see the flowers.
Thank you for your comments.
