On one hand there are "photographers" with some fancy equipment, who never switch to anything else than auto, but that wouldn't allow me any experimenting.
First two pictures were taken in Hawaii last fall, about a month and half after I got the camera. Honestly, that vacation was the main reason I got the camera in the first place. To make it fairly cheap, light (for hiking) and soso universal I paired it with Tamron 18-270 besides the kit lens 18-55 Nikkor. I did have some time to learn the basics and practice, before we went there. The Indigo Bunting was taken couple weeks ago in the park not not far from home with the Sigma 150-600 which makes me very happy.
I'm not very good with photo post processing, only do some basic tweaks with jpegs, nothing serious. I know I need to work on that too...
