I've alerted ADMIN..however that doesn't mean squat as I often wonder if anyone is in control of this site.

As long as this might be an issue, I won't use iPhone to contact this site, and that will reduce the number of times I read and post here. Since I believe business plan here depends on lots of reads and posts, they/he/she/it should care, so I expect this issue to be resolved fairly quickly.

Answering this on my iPhone 6s right now and no issues. If this was a website hack, I would think it would affect all users.

Same here...I'm off to my other photography forums.

It's adware. Seems to be affecting users on iPhones.

...and the fix is?

cause it's only on this site. Chrome is not bothered by it, but Safari is.

Closed all apps and shut off my iPad. Upon restarting it asked to verify with gmail & password. That usually does not happen (only on os upgrades). Apple must be aware of this.

Of course, you will have to reverify all passwords used with safari, including the one here, because their "fix" causes safari to forget everything it had stored.

Right now, I'm going to come here only when I can get here via my desktop - I'm slow to trust any "fix" that involves my end only, with no admitted change at the server end.

UHH has been absent as far as response to members goes...
I'll step away from this site

Well, Apple's "fix" did not work for me at all.

So... I just installed the AdsOff and PhishingOff apps on my iPhone. That cost me $3.00, but I no longer get the crap, OR any ads.

I monitor many sites on my iPhone. This is THE ONLY site that has given me this problem, and it has done so, as I said earlier, off and on over the last 8 months or so.

Now I have to go back and enter all my site passwords... Pain in the _ing _ss!

It didn't work for me either!!!

One of those ads was back before I had re-entered my password here. In fact, I just barely had time to determine that this thread seems to have disappeared from the "Main Photography Discussion" list of threads! If that is truly the case, it is extremely discouraging, because it would mean that others wouldn't be able to find this discussion and would have to just kind of stumble blindly around.

added: as soon as I posted this response I clicked on the link to take me to the thread listing for the section. Because I had just posted something, this should have been near the top of the list, but I couldn't see it anywhere on the first page.

My original solution had been to access this site only from my desktop, but I may do that only on occasion until they get it working correctly.

I would advise changing your passwords. Do it from a desktop and make sure it is the actual site and not a ploy to get your info.
It seems like the actual UHH home base may be infected with a virus, worm or whatever you want to call it. If so, it is possible for hackers to remotely access your personal info. Kind of scary. I just wish it would be taken care of quickly but that doesn't seem to be the case.
