Thanks for the welcomes everyone, I'm sure I'll be picking your brains quite a bit in the future! The first photo is the Tidal Barrier at the mouth of the River Hull, (which flows into the Humber Estuary) behind that is a small swing footbridge and behind that is The Deep, our world famous aquarium which looks like the prow of a ship! Tom, Ive got a few pics of the Humber Bridge, but I prefer this one.

Thank you Steve; yes, an excellent photo, it's superb. Last time I was in the U.K.,
the Humber was the longest. Still, a wonderful engineering fete.

My mum's a Hull girl. Used to live in Holderness Road although has lived outside Melbourne, Australia for the past 50 years. Her father was the Hull harbour master. Still have a 94y/o Aunty in Scarborough.
