The adult is feasting on a recently caught fish. He/she is accompanied by 4 juveniles. Photos were taken from the boardwalk of Kealia Pond, a National Wildlife Refuge located between Maalaea Harbor and Kihei.

That sure is a nice place to go visit the walkway was partially destroyed a few years ago when we moved back here to the mainland they had restored much of it,
have they finished yet?. I am so happy we will be back home by late November unless my tests for liver cancer come back bad. So far the blood workups are looking good,
I will come back no matter what I want my ashes put by my friends on the far side of Molokini, but I don't want to go that fast will fight to the end. Thanks for sharing this photo Joanne it gives me a warm feeling of home cannot wait to see more.

Am so glad to hear that your tests are coming back good. Will pray that your tests keep coming back negative. (Cancer tests are the only tests I know that a negative is good. I'm a 24 year survivor from my first cancer.) Keep that fighting spirit going. Yes, they have finished the walkway and it is always a pleasure to walk and watch the wildlife. When you come back, lets get together for a photo outing.
