Nice image but the bread I believe is on a black base put the photo shows it as gray. That tells me it is overexposed. You can tweak that with a program like Lightroom
I thought it showed up better on the black background than on the white, blue or green ones that also came with the box. Looking at the photo and holding the loaf next to the screen, the colors are really close.
I'm not sure if it is overexposed or if it that is being caused by the LED lights in the Shotbox, or maybe both. When I shot some jewelry with it a few weeks back, the white background had a lot of blue in it, I wasn't sure if that came from the jewelry, which has a lot of blue and turquoise in it, or from the lighting.
Thanks for the tips. I don't currently have either Lightroom or Photoshop, that's on my wish list for later this year. I wound up going with a different shot of the bread (on a white/cream muslin) for my baking blog.
The fact that the loaves are a bit darker in the second shot would seem to be consistent with the report that the first shot was over-exposed.
I've got the processing software that came with my Canon t6i, though I haven't spent enough time with it to know its capabilities and limitations.
Good job, Mike! Now you're making me hungry! :)

Well, that is the point of food photography. Not sure if it's permitted for me to post the URL of my food blog, but if anyone's interested in the recipe for that bread, it's there. (The recipe came from my mother-in-law, but I modernized it a bit.)
