How could I have lived most of my life without these essential gadgets? Be sure to read through the entire list and prepare to be baffled about why anyone would invent these things.

Don't forget those 5,000,000 people in the gene pool who shelled out $3.95 for "Pet Rocks". I'm sure there are many around with the same IQ level who will buy some of those "what-a-great-idea" products listed. The rest of us will just stand around shaking our heads trying to figure out "why" any one would waste their money on such useless fodder for the landfills.

Ideas I'd like to see: Bedsheets that convert toxic gas to the scent of Lavender (or scent of your choice.)
App that takes/makes calls by voice command from my phone without lighting up the screen so I don't have to lose night vision.

To me, the most useless invention is the spork. It fits right in with these, I think (maybe it's there--I didn't get to the end of the list because the internet is slow today).

Yeah, that was getting ridiculed right from the start. Wait a minute. I'm thinking of the eating device that MacDonald's introduced, the Frork.

I remember the day when a fidget spinner was a keychain or a large crescent wrench.
