You obviously cannot read and understand what the forum topic is about, and should keep silent.

Disagree. This is the Attic, and it exists for the political and the speculative. This is a superb article, leading to thought and understanding, revealing truth to the worthy, and wisdom to those searching.

This site would be notably poorer without it.

When Donald Trump said he was going to make America great again, there were people who actually believed he was going to attempt to do that. Trump ran his freak show of campaign utilizing a powerful slogan that struck a cord with racist white people. However, the reality is - Trump and the teabagger Republicans in congress have absolutely failed to "€œmake America great." Paul Krugman lays out just how badly Trump and the Republicans are messing things up in a New York Times op-ed called "€œMaking Ignorance Great Again."

Two major areas where Trump and the teabagger Republicans showed how dreadfully incompetent they are - is on the environment and healthcare. Krugman argues that none of the actions taken by Trump and the teabagger Republicans - when it comes to these two issues - are based in, you know, FACTS. These simpleton'€™s agenda is - the truth be damned. This should not be a huge shock. We knew long ago that Trump and the teabagger Republicans would be disastrous for America. Trump managed to pull off something that teabagger Republicans could only dream of - winning electoral college votes in areas of the country they have tried to lie, steal and cheat to get votes. As a result, the teabagger Republicans now bow down to Trump. So, what is happening today is that this dolt in the White House is attempting to actually follow through on the batshit crazy promises he made to his ignorant racist white base during his freak show of an election campaign. Ergo, we are seeing America transformed, and not in a good way.

Oblivious to the environment, hostile to migrants, snarling towards Muslims and seeking to roll back rights that took decades to secure. It'€™s obvious that Trump sees the constitution not as a historical document to be honored, but as an obstacle to overcome. The "€œrepublican"€ in the White House and the ignorant teabagging cowards in Congress see diversity not as a strength, but as a fact to be tolerated, or completely ignored. By pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, constantly pushing for a Muslim travel ban, still staying committed to building a wall on the Mexican border, attempting to replace The Affordable Care Act with "€œTrump-no-care" (that promises to deny millions of Americans healthcare), and going to war with the free press, Trump has already done enough damage to last several lifetimes. It did'n™t take that long for that nincompoop Trump to destroy years of progress - ALL OVER THE WORLD. The citizens in America, whether they know it or not, will end up paying the price. So much for "€œMaking America Great Again." The truth will make you free!

it happened way before this. Trump was going to bring us together. He has failed miserably.

And he has done so in only five months! Possible charges in the next five, then who knows what?

Sad thing is, our Nation will never be the same, and may begin a downward spiral that we cannot recover from.

As the old philosopher says,

SAD.

Another fake grass roots (astroturf) teabagger who crawled from beneath a putrid rock to spew hatred. Showing themselves to be a person of questionable character, dubious morality and limited intelligence that needs to have their stupidly exposed for all to see…

The irony of your statement is delicious! Go back to your safe space, little snowflake, where you can safely cocoon yourself from those fearsome "liberal" view points. lol

Oops! Am I on your ignore list now too, little snowflake?

Luke, I still consider America a melting pot--as much as ever, even in the face of the racism you mention. The two parties are not ethnic groups, but political parties.

However, I'll reiterate the heart of your post, as I completely agree with it, and it deserves another statement:

"There is no concept of mutual interests, white terrorism increases and the hope of stability is not even discussed. This is being personified by one man, with two contrary public perceptions. There'€™s Donald Trump, champion of the white "€œconservative"€ masses of rural and small-town America, the man bringing white supremacist change to Washington, promoting unfettered white privilege, and on a mission to put brown and black people - all over the world - "€œin their place."€ And then there'€™s Donald Trump as seen through the eyes of people of color in America and white people in America with common sense and common decency. Good thinking, good writing, and unvarnished Truth (with a Capital T). All this means, Keep Your Head Down, and prepare for attack.

I'll add that the King of Korruption has given us his Kabnet worthy of a prison cell, that little ole' racist and liar Beauregard Session, an insider trader approved for further insider trading, and a Robo-signing Banker so rich he forgot to declare $100,000,000 of his fortune.

And leave us not forget Rick "Good Hair" Perry, ex-Texas Govenor who wanted to destroy the Department of Energy, then is a supreme joke on Trump's part, inherited Secretaryship of that department and found surprisingly that he was in charge of the entire nuclear portfolio of the Nation. Let's see, that make absolutely staggering incompetence tending every nuclear weapon we have access to.

Wow!

God save us from leaders like these!
