If it's the mount and it's plastic, you can buy the part, with instructions to replace it on eBay.

I replaced the mount on my son's 18-105mm. No directions were included, though.

10-20 is a good choice. Especially since the reduced the price to 449.00.

When shooting with the 18-55 where are most of your shots ending up? If under 35-or 40, you might want to consider the Sigma 18-35 1.8 Art. Sigma has one refurb for $599.00 right now.

Its either 18mm or 55mm

I agree, as the worst damage to me was to my pride, falling in the first place. I had a very slight glancing blow to my head. The wall I believe broke my fall. I think my camera never touched the wall or concrete floor. I fell hard but flat on my back. I am 65 years young, so some body above was watching over me. By the way the Camera works great.

I'm so glad that you are fine, lens can easily be replaced. Hope the new lens is to your liking. As far as somebody watching over you? I'd think if that was the case, that someone would have prevented the fall to begin with. But the idea is nice.

I didn't want to go there, but there are other more subtle hints in my life that suggest otherwise!! There are natural laws that can't be broken like gravity. There are miracles that can't be explained any other way than divine intervention. Yes, I believe in miracles.

Hey, what ever gets you through the day, I am all for it.

Just imagine for a second, that a toddler is about to cross the road. A car is coming, but instead of stopping the toddler, you just watch the accident happen. BUT, you call 911 right away and you know that a fire station is around the corner. The firemen save the life of the child. Do you think there is a human who would worship you for your actions?

I think it more likely that the driver of the car would see the child and stop, or swerves narrowly missing the child. or the parent watching the child get a burst of super human speed and prevents the accident. Near misses always amaze me. Was it divine intervention or mere chance?

A case of, "Is the glass half full or half empty."

The reason why i commented is because if there was a god and if god was like what people make god out to be, would be very sad. My limited understanding is that god is pure love without an ego - and love without ego couldn't care less whether I fell or if I was shot or if I won the powerball jackpot. God can only love. I do understand that us, monkeys couldn't comprehend such love, since we have only evolved to have conditional love - love that is ego based. If you look at life itself, you will see that it is impersonal. It doesn't interfere with anything or anyone what so ever. But as I mentioned above, we only know ego based "love" so the most we can imagine is that god is like us. If there was such a god, I'm pretty sure we would have been wiped out a long long time ago. But we are still here. Kind of like the belief that the so called non believers will burn in hell for eternity. Would a loving god do such a thing? That to me sounds more like a psychopath.

I believe that GOD IS LOVE and cares for us all. We are the psychopaths. History proves that. Man's inhumanity to man is what threatens to destroy the world. A loving God is what keep this world going.
I have been taught that God has given us dominion on the earth. God has given us choice to do good or evil. God only wants us to freely choose to love him. We pay for choices that we make. God stands ready to forgive us our faults.

Just the opposite my friend. I believe we send ourselves to hell by the choices we make. Just like a good parent doesn't condemn us to death for a mistake, good parents love us unconditionally in a very limited way(Compared to God's unconditional love).

So you would be ok with sending someone to hell for eternity and be ok with that? I think that could only happen if you lacked a conscience.

But as I said, if believing in a made up super being like that gets you through the day, the more power to you.

No, I would like to love them into heaven, but it's their choice.
