Great shots with blur on the propellers. That's how it is suppose to look like.
Really nice shots Ken. I like the fact that you kept your shutter speed slow enough to show the blur of the plane's propellers.
That really gives the effect of motion. Nicely done. Out of curiosity, what shutter speed were you shoot at?
Thanks to one & all ---
Lets face it ----
Getting --
Prop Blur is a major big pain in the back side deal ----
BUT!!!!
With out it the War- Birds will just look like all those cheep plastic kit models I had hanging from all over my bedroom ceiling when I was a kid
THANKS

When airborne: 1/100
When on the ground with props turning 1/80th or less

Very nice! The sky added some drama for you and they look like you were capturing an actual dogfight! Great job!

Thanks for the info. Ken. I actually thought your shutter speed would be a bit faster. I'm glad I asked.

Pretty Polly is a P-39 Airacobra built by Bell Aircraft --- Check out Wikipedia for a core dump worth of info ---- From what I know/think I know about the plane
-- at the beginning of the War in the Pacific our guys absolutely hated flying the thing -- Since it was so totally outclassed by the ZERO --- It was eventually pulled from service & replaced with the P-38 Lightning ---
However it soon became a big "Lend Lease" winner with our pals the Russians who apparently used it in ground support/anti tank operations -- If it had problems with the Zero I can't see it going up against the likes of the FW-190
I always shoot in RAW & use Canon's DPP & Photomatix
