I cut some roses to put in a vase and then wondered how one would look laying on the glass-topped table with a little light coming in through the open door. For the second shot, I added some water.

Both are beauties, Vicki. For me, the 2nd image seems to pop more, and the downloads confirmed the difference is the subtle placement. The 1st seems to lean forward a bit limiting the detail by blocking a bit of the sidelight. Shows how little things make a big difference. Great choice to try the setting/reflection.

Thanks for the input Charmdragon. I've got a few other ideas brewing on this type of setup. It will be fun to play around with light and reflections on glass.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply Angela. As I played around with this and took a couple of shots, I thought water drops would make it better. I tried to get bigger drops but gravity took its toll. You may notice a small puddle under the second rose. I also realized much later that the table needs to be dusted.

It was easy enough to set up and lots of other ideas started to grow out of this effort. It may lead to more fun experiments.

Thanks for looking and commenting Karin. I appreciate it.

LOL... don't talk to me about dust!!! It's never ending, especially with 3 cats in the house!!
