After several days of rain, this iris is still in pretty good condition. So far this is probably my best effort.

Gary, this Iris shot is excellent and you can be proud of the performance of the lens. You really got the lighting and detail just right on this one! Can't wait to see your next close-up adventure.

Thank you so much for your supportive comments. The lighting and detail seems to be pretty good. I may play around with the iris a bit more while they last. Everyone store around here is selling bedding plants (it's still Spring in North Idaho), so I will probably buy something with good blooms to photograph and then plant it in the garden. Just think, two weeks ago I was thinking about sending the 105mm back because I didn't like it. We are getting along pretty well now.
