1950's B&W Era look

Recently downloaded NIK efex pro 2. I always was and will be a fan of the 1950's "Frank Sinatra- glossy B&W look.
This photos is an old studio shot that I have practiced with the Efex program in LR. Original EF 100mm, 1/100 sec 4.5, ISO 650 Aperture priority. Trying not to use plug in templates as I learn the new program. Suggestions on achieving the crisp high gloss look in either LR, Efex pro2 or PS?

Thank you,
Bob

Bob, most of my posts are black and white. I use photoshop whether I'm scanning film or using digital and converting to black and white. I find that paying attention to the white balance of each individual image is important and use the black and white conversion within photoshop, Image>Adjustment>Black and White works very well. It also allows me to apply monochromatic filter results, much as I would with using filters when shooting black and white film.

Your conversion here is quite nice.
