I just found this very good article regarding the above, as of now. Of course calling your airlines ahead of time of your travels will be prudent as things may change at any time.

I fear that this ban will spread to the EU, which will force me to cancel my planned trip to Germany.

I will not cancel my travel plans for this reason. I may change which cameras I take on vacation, or how I get them back home, depending on the regulations at the time, but not the trip itself.

I am not going to cancel my travel plans, just alter them. There are many places I can go to in the USA by using Amtrak, and other carriers. Right now I'm trying to figure ways to get to Concordia, MO and Goldonna, LA. I am also looking into tours of the tourist traps in the Bay Area that offer stops for photo opportunities and for an easy way to get to Fishermans Wharf. Remember, I do not drive, nor can I walk more than a block or two without a rest. But I will travel, even if I just take a Greyhound bus to Reno.
