What Ever That Means ?????

Wonderful Street Photography, at its finest!
If that is not obvious, we could discuss exactly what makes it so. That could be educational and perhaps entertaining too.
Not really on the street ... on a bus ...

Thanks ... I went by a post to me from you awhile ago where you said post away and the mods would decide ...
Nice photo. To help clarify the issue, my rule of thumb is, if the subject shows a person doing what people do, then it's legit. And since, by definition, a person doing something is doing what people do, then any photo of a person doing something is OK. It can't get much clearer than that.
Whoops! Pushed on the wrong reply button. This was really meant for truckster.

Well, in this section we allow expression... so anything somebody thinks might fit can be posted without too much concern because then the discussion can be why it is or is not actually Street Photography. Your image is fabulous Street Photography in its purest sense!
The comment "It's not on the street" is not true. Saying that is mixing metaphors because the definition of "Street" in Street Photography is
not a road! Street is a community, it's the space where people live. Similar to a place where Street Smarts are used. On a road, in a house, on a farm, in a city... that is Street.
The subjects of interest in Street Photography are not tangible objects. A person's face or body is not the subject! It isn't the character of the person (which is what a portrait is about) but rather how that character interacts with other surroundings. The subject properly is the intangible relationships between all the tangible objects!
So we look at your image and we don't get a really clear picture of that young person, or of whatever it is that is out the window... But my goodness does the connection between those two object grab our emotions! Perfect!
Keep that line of thought in mind when viewing images by others here. The images that Voss posts are always really great examples. He produces better quality Street more consistently than anyone on UHH. Sometimes it is subtle, sometimes his images are like being hit with a sledgehammer blow to the mind. The reason is what he sees to photograph.

Thanks for the clarification ... and yes, Voss is a prime example of quality captures ... others here too. I'm loving it as it has opened another element of photography for me.

There is no reason you have to like it! What you like or what I like has nothing at all to with "good Street", or "good photography"!
Lets take Voss again as a terrific example, this time because there are so many examples. As I've said, he consistently produces the best Street work on UHH. Now I'll let the other cat out of they bag: I don't care that much for most of it. I don't care about bars, bikes, or Texas. Fine stuff, it just does not turn my crank! I like pictures of life in northern Alaska. Nothing south of the Brooks range is of much interest. What I like would bore Voss to tears most likely!
But the art he makes that I don't like is really great art.
It happens that I do like the image in the OP. Not excessively, but more than average. That is not what makes it good art.
Interesting discussion going on here--for my two cents' worth, it's about as street as one can get. One of the things I like about it is that it can conjure up so many stories about what's going through the boy's mind. I think it's a good one.
It's reflective, it's candid and it fits here. Nice shot.

That is your opinion he's the best etc , if I can't look at a picture for at least two or three minutes studying it , going over every detail , to me
All I could do was was look at this one was about three seconds , tell I would go to the next page , there is some pic where I looked at a image for 30 min or more then come back and do it again , how long can you take this one in before flipping page , by the sounds of it
You should be able to look at it for at least 30 min , if I was as enthused over it as much as you seem to be it would at least a 30 minuites
Of study for me , but 3 seconds is more than enough for me to know that it's dead to me IMO
