My cousin, Danny Spitler of Sikeston, Mo. went off to Viet Nam an LBJ was escalating the action. Danny was a man of steel who jumped out of a perfectly good aircraft with a German Shepherd under his arm. Had he been injured, rescuers would have had to kill his dog to get to him. Danny came home seemingly intact. Soon after his return he began to show symptoms of severe arthritis. This continued and he soon was nearly totally disabled. He died within three years after coming home. Exposure to Agent Orange did what enemy fire could not do. The VA denied that his illness was related to the exposure.
Cousin, thank you for your service and sacrifice!
We salute all of the Danny's of our great countries history. We owe them everything.
Thank you to Danny and all the other men and women sacrificing heir lives for us and it is a shame how many come home wounded and suffering from serving our country and the good old government does nothing for them! It is a shame

A salute to all the "Danny's" out there. One was my brother Nick, 3 tours over there, one as a river patrol squad commander. He retired as a Captain and a few years later he was diagnosed with some rare cancer. He said "agent orange" was the culprit. 6 weeks after the diagnosis he was gone.

Thank God we have men like that.
My younger brother died of Agent Orange when he was 30. Back then VA said it wasn't Agent Orange it was kidney failure. The VA today says I have Agent Orange, at least I have had many years.
Had an uncle who survived the Bataan death march and 3 1/2 years as a prisoner of war. I honor anyone who fights to protect our country.
