All were hand held, only the Tree Peonie was Post Processed beyond minor cropping - well, I did add a little chrome to the truck.

Hey SS319 - Were you A Becuna guy? My unc was the CO of the Wahoo in the early 1950's and took me to a softball game between the Wahoo and Becuna in the Groton sub base. chase
P.S. My dad was a WW II sub guy also 07, Lapon and Conger.

I can only assume that Becuna won the game. Most Submarine softball games were won by the team consuming the most Alcohol. Typical requirements was a 12 oz can when taking the field and a 12 oz can when coming off the field - full beer cans on the playing field struck by the ball were automatic outs.

Yes, I was in Engine Room of Becuna in the early 60s.

Wahoo was quite a storied boat in WWII - sank 13,000 tons before she was sunk with all hands, including her legendary commander Mush Morton, but of course, your Uncle had the "new" Wahoo. He must have had headaches with those GM Engines.

Lapon was a major player in WWII as well - a lot of japanese steel on the bottom of the ocean because of her.

Lapon and Becuna worked together for a couple of kills near the end of '44 ( I was less than a month old at that time)
