There have been any number of conversations regarding Topaz Studio. One aspect of the program that I have not seen addressed is the plug-ins that came with my download. I have included a snapshot of the drop-down list of plug-ins that are available to me. I'm curious if everybody has access to these plug-ins or am I getting them because I have purchased the plug-ins for Photoshop and Lightroom. and therefore, they are automatically being installed in Topaz Studio.

I'm interested to know what Topaz Studio cost you. To get those plug ins did you down load Studio Pro and pay for it and if so how much.

Topaz Studio cost me nothing. Now having said that, you need to understand that I had previously purchased the Topaz Labs package of plug-ins for Photoshop and Lightroom. I don't remember the cost. I believe it is for this reason that I have all of these plug-ins available to me in Topaz Studio.

I own 11 of the Topaz programs that are now showing up as plugin's in my Topaz Studio. They have another series of add-on pieces of software that are up for half price or $70.00 with the "presale" coupon code through today. I'd like to know it it's worth it to use these new add-ons or are they just a redundant series of the older pieces and not really worth adding on if I already own most of the Topaz programs?

Thank you for pointing that out. I did not realize that Topaz Studio would install as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop. That is convenient.

I have to think that the plug-ins are there as a trial and they will stop working after maybe 30 days. That's a lot of plug-ins to try out in just 30 days. The ones that I find most useful (for realistic images) are Denoise, Adjust, Clarity and Detail.

I'm trying to figure that out myself. I bought the add-ons with the understanding that I could cancel and get my money back within 15 days. The add-ons are not the same as the plug-ins and the ones that are similar seem to be faster but less capable than the plug-ins. However, Studio gives you a very versatile masking capability that you don't get with the plug-ins. You can invoke the plug-ins from within Studio but when you do, the masking feature seems not to be available.

The UI sees strange at first (and there is a learning curve) but I'm beginning to appreciate what it does for me. I find that Studio does give me some extra capabilities that I like and I'm leaning toward keeping what I bought; I suspect without the added $70 of add-ons it would not seem that useful and it would probably join a number of other software tools that I still have installed but never use.

I've tried to pay to activate the additional capabilities in Studio and it doesn't work. Poorly conceived rollout in my opinion. I've emailed them, no response yet. So far - not worth the trouble it's creating. Stick with whatever already works for you.

I had some trouble with the purchase as well. In the past, Topaz has always gotten back to me when I've asked for help, but it often takes a few days. No doubt they have shut down for the holiday weekend but give them a little time. I don't think they are a big company.

Same here, every time I "Proceed to Payment" my address info came up filled in with someone else's account...still no word from them.
