I have a photo that I want to post as a download hyperlink only, so that readers may choose to open and view it based on my description.

I have the photo stored as an image in my Android, but I don't know how to make it accessible as a download hyperlink.

Any help would be appreciated...thank you.

Here's my WAG: Your photo needs to be at a site to have a link. That's the way posting pix works at another site I visit. Good luck

And, be careful that you're not posting a link to an album, or maybe even your entire set of pix on the site - this could result in you sharing more than you intended to share.

You can open an account at DropBox, copy the image to your account space then create a link to it for sharing. DropBox excels at this functionality.

This is what Bruce said, "You can open an account at DropBox, copy the image to your account space then create a link to it for sharing. DropBox excels at this functionality."
Yes is the answer to your question.

Thank you everyone, however I have a follow-up question:

I originally found the picture I wanted on Google Images...so, twowindsbear, is that considered a site ???

Am I able to pluck it directly from there and turn it into a download hyperlink ???

To be honest, this is not something I intend to be doing very often, if ever again, and I'm not sure that it's worth setting up a Dropbox or other Cloud account...

Here's another WAG:

Try this - open the pic in Google Images. Copy the link in your browsers' address bar. Open another browser tab or page & paste the link into the NEW address bar. IF it works, and only shows the pic you've chosen, then you should be good to go.

Then, post the link here, if it works, great - if it doesn't work you'll have about an hour or so to delete the link.

Again, good luck!

Yes, you can. Here's how:
1. Go to Google Photos and click on the photo
2. That photo now has a url (address) in the browser address bar
3. Highlight and copy that address (ctrl c) in Windows
4. Paste (ctrl v) that address into a document, email, .... . It is now a link to the photo in Google Photos.

Good luck,
Mark

Hehehe!

Sounds like you've 'been there, done that' and KNOW what you're suggesting - whereas I was making a WAG, as I said.
