Q's from LR created big photo show with music

So, created a Lightroom Slideshow with music using 480 shots in a Collection. Easy, looks good. You can tie show length to music length, but you are only allowed 10 songs, which in this case is roughly 38 minutes. You can also choose to select shots randomly from the Collection. Makes more interesting especially with a loop like we used. This choice makes the slides go faster, but no way do we see all in 38 minutes. And in fact several repeat.

If the show is unconnected from music, still random, still shows several shots over again in the first 38 minutes (I guess truly random might do that). But how long to be pretty sure you see all 480? At Adobe's 6.5 second default (4 second full up plus 2.5 second dissolve) this should cycle in 52 minutes if my math is right. Doesn't come close. How long would one expect then really?

Secondly, we'd like a DVD copy to save and replay. Turns out Apple no longer supports or recommends iDVD. They tell me to buy one of 20 or so copy programs on Apple Store. Most popular is Corel's Toast it seems (also among the most costly). However it would not copy high res; the low res one that works definitely makes pictures fuzzy. (BTW, the built in LR copy won't do the job at all altho it will make a lesser quality .pdf.) Ideas? Thanks!

MP4s, DVDS, Blu-Rays and even YouTube are video delivery methods. All of the common video editing software programs work well with still photos. Output choices cover the entire range of viewing devices. My personal favorite is Premiere Elements. It is inexpensive, flexible and can even work well with RAW files. If you start with Lightroom, you can crop and then batch output jpegs matched to screen resolutions. The end result is a show that will make the most of your best viewing device, including the newest 4K TVs.

So, created a Lightroom Slideshow with music using... (show quote)

An acquaintance does slide shows with music, but when he shows them in public, he must use non-copyrighted music, which can be a challenge to find, especially if you are looking for a specific sound. As for the ten-song limit, you should be able to use audio editing software to loop a song onto itself so that it plays for double the time. The program will think it is one long song. I think you realized that selecting "random" is probably the reason it repeats random slides.

I don't know if you want to start from scratch using different software, but there are lots of choices. I use ProShow Gold. I also use a Movavi program for video, so their slide software could also be very good.

Thanks for the ideas! Didn't have time to try other solutions. Seems to me huge Adobe should have and provide a capable, reliable solution within its LR software where Slideshow is major category selection.

Adobe should also provide reasonable, accessible and prompt help. Unhappily, none of this was the case in this cc version that costs me a monthly fee. Apple support, usually quite good, was also no help saying this is not their software or problem in answer to every question.
