I would like to buy a Nikon P900. However the B&H store asks $600.
Does anybody have an experience with the 42nd photo seller . They ask $540.

Are they reliable ? Does it make sense to risk for $60?

Thank you Miro

Use the "Search" feature at the top of the page. Enter "42nd Street Photo" and then make up your own mind. Run, don't walk away from 42nd Street. Grey market and bate and switch is a common tactic.

Please use the freaking "Search" feature for questions like this that have been beaten to death many, many times before. You have been a member since 2013 (over five years), have you learned nothing in that time? Have you ever R-E-A-D the UHH forum before?

Not at all, Don. Just tired of folks who want others to do their homework and heavy lifting for them when they are perfectly capable of doing it themselves. /Ralph

I'm rather flattered when someone asks for advice. AND, I LOVE getting the word out about both good and bad suppliers.

I quite agree, but without these posts there would be no UHH website, seems these types of questions (questions that are easily looked up) appear every single day.

"Risk" is the key word. Are you a gambler? I'm not, so I shop at Adorama, Amazon, B&H, Cameta, Crutchfield, Hunt’s, and Robert’s.

Speaking of Crutchfield (which I don't recall having been mentioned here before) I just bought a "scratch and dent" 4K BluRay player from them (Oppo UDP-203) and without a microscope I cannot see any scratches or dents, but I did save money.

Then ignore it, no reason to be rude. If you are tired, go to sleep.

I've been buying from them since 1980 - mostly car radios. They have had cameras I wanted when no none else did, my D610, for example. I recently bought a Sony A6000 w/lens from them for $550.

Do not even think about it. Buy from a reputable dealer and B&H happens to be one of them.

Stick with ABC, KEH or other reputable vendors. There are way too many bait and switch vendors who only want to suck money out of you. While you think you may be saving money, you are not.
