FYI Timothy McVeigh was raised Roman Catholic and professed Christianity until the end. Should not take Fox News too seriously.

Yeah, I don't think so, but thanks for playing.

Ship made a port call to Mombasa one time and went on a photo safari. Had a great time. That is the only way the animals should be "shot".

I've been saying that for years . . .
I rubs me the wrong way how so many 'hunters' sit in their 'huts' up in the trees
eating their snacks, checking their cell phones, and waiting for some nice looking
deer, or whatever, to walk by so they can shoot it and show it off with such pride.
Like you say, most of those animals should be 'shot' with a camera . . .

I hear what you're saying but if I read the story right, whether they had firearms or cameras, they were going to get attacked by these elephants. It's probably best to not even go in those places from the get go. Wildlife is wild.

That's why I usually do most of my hunting at a suburb of town called 'Zoo' . . .

Yeah, I do too and I bring my DSLR. I do buy a hunting license most every year though, even if I don't use it. In Texas, the money for the license goes to fish and wildlife department and is put to good use protecting the animals. I don't hunt because there's just not enough shooting. I shoot competitively instead, lot more shooting in that.

I don't have to go there. My home is a regular zoo as it is.

We are reacting to the irony of the situation. This is the stuff of Darwin Awards. We just passed through Oklahoma City on our tour of old Route 66 - terrorists can be of many different religions.

Oklahoma, I believe had no religious overtones. There were no cries of, infidel, the non-believer. Or any motivation enacted in Gods name. The muslim terrorist claim authority from the koran. Islam, in the 21 century is entrenched in more in killing than a belief in God. What do you think would happen if you went to a muslim country, sat down in an outdoor cafe and started reading a bible? Granted every muslim is not a terrorist, however, every terrorist is a muslim.

Now, there you go stating solid facts, using logic and making sense. You're going to get in trouble with the TDS-affected crowd.

I'm sure his family is pleased that his death is a source of amusement, entertainment and gratification for you. Your happiness is surely a priority for them, to say nothing of the African villages that have received employment and tons of free food from him over the years. They certainly are happy that you are happy.

So, if I read the story right, they were not hunting the elephants. The elephants charged them and they were defending themselves and the hunter was grabbed by an elephant which was then shot and fell on the person it had grabbed. Hmm, I'm not defending the hunting of large animals here, but this seems to have been a case of self-defense that fell short.

But he was a professional hunter and was leading a group on a hunt for other exotic animals. Many of these animals will be gone from this earth within our children's lifetime because of indiscriminate hunting. So sad.

You are very uniformed and you might consider doing some research into game management objectives and techniques prior to making unfounded, emotionally and politically charged statements. And while you are at it you might want to educate us all and define "indiscriminate hunting". Until then stick to topics have some knowledge of.
Thanks
