Glad to hear your on the mend. Welcome back. I was a personal trainer a few years ago. Differently, range on motion is more important than how heavy the weight is. I have personally gotten tennis elbow 2 times from lifting. I play tennis 3 to 4 times a week and never got tennis elbow from that.
Congratulations on your Grandson. Grandkids are the Best!

Welcome back Nascar, happy to hear that you are alright and on the mend.

Thanks you ebbote. Happy to be getting through all this pain. Now the only pain I want is when I mess up a good picture!

Hi Tracy and thanks for the welcome back. My wife and I workout in a local gym. We had worked out with ex-marine & ex-navy trainers so they really got us up to speed on cardio fitness and overall body toning. I started lifting and was getting really good results and then one day out of the blue during a military bench press with dumbbells I felt a sharp pain and dull ache in the left shoulder. Stopped weights for a week and went back but could not lift w/o bad pain. Surgeon said the lift wasn't the reason it just happened at that moment as the tendons were worn out from years of abuse (retired healthcare). Said it would have happened eventually even doing something far less dramatic like lifting. This was my fourth shoulder surgery (third on the left and one on the right). Up to that point it was bone spur clean up procedures. Anyways looking forward to getting back into the gym. Meanwhile I'm spoiling our grandson....he really is a happy guy and I am one happy grandpa!! Here is a image of him with grandma nascar27. Now it is time to start posting images again. I'm still working on the 1400 I took in Alaska back in 2015 and am headed out to the grand canyon and monument valley Utah in two weeks to get back in the swing of photography.

Hello once again everyone from Nascar27. I know this section is for new members but I've been out of commission for part of 2016 & early 2017. I've have encountered some hurdles which has kept me from contributing to the forum. I was diagnosed with a very small growth in my bladder which required surgery and the pathology report was not cancer but a benign growth. After that I tore two tendons in my left shoulder requiring surgery to reattach them and am currently undergoing therapy to regain the range of motion before the weight lifting tear. I also had a steroid injection in that shoulder joint on top of everything else. Oh and btw I became a first time grandpa to a grandson. Things are healing and looking up now so I look forward to getting back to shooting and sharing with you all. I've missed this forum very much!
