Had an opportunity to go for a walk by myself while my family was at the beach. It was a little windy so taking close up photos was challenging. Didn't get out as early as I would have liked to before the sun was high, but gave it my best, hope you enjoy. Please, all C&C is gratefully welcomed.

P.S. Please don't ask me what kind of flowers these are, I have no idea.

First is an orchid, second prickly pear but not sure about that, third plumeria, fourth I know but can't think of it right now , fifth blue ginger, sixth bird of paradise, and I'm clueless on the last two. Beautiful and interesting shots, Joe, and I'll think of that fourth one sooner or later..or somebody else will ID for us.

Thank you for the info. I have to blame my ignorance with flowers on my Grandfather. He had a farm on Lake Champlain and he use to say to me, "if you can't eat it, don't grow it". My Grandmother on the other hand had beautiful flowers all around the house, unfortunalty I spent most of my time following my Grandfather around.
