I was told that this shot at a bad angle

I don't know about that. It's interesting to me.
I like it. There's a lot going on that is really good; for instance the two spears on either side of it gives it good symmetry. The folds in the gown bring your eye right to the top. The jet trail gives one extra little kick. Remember the person that told you that the angle was wrong is just one person's opinion and not a good one, if you ask me. Whether or not that person likes it is not the question; the question is, do you like it?

I love it Thank you for your critique
Yea, graphic design, rule of thirds, leading lines, and imposing subject; gray scale seems appropriate for a majestic statue like this.
I agree with tramsey and Mr. Daddy but taking more than one shot as you change your location but hold the prospective like stepping backwards;
then you could have something to look at and compare. Then you would know and no one would have to tell you anything. You know this.
You don't have to show the bad ones.

I like it. Unlike another poster, I find the vapor trail distracting, the longer I look at it. His opinion is as important as mine. Yours is most important.
It's a very interesting angle, IMHO. I like the shot
I like it Adam. The jet trail is a bit distracting but a good shot all in all.
Here is a revised version without the contrail
Looks much better without the contrail. Now I really like it.
I think that depends on what you were trying to capture.
Don
I really like it, Adam! Well done!
