Reading my e-mail this morning I saw an ad for a Calumet Speedlight Power Block 900 ,it is a battery system that powers most brand name flash units ,it is on sale for $200.00 - I have a Metz 58 AF-1 flash unit -the Metz battery system is 400 and sixty dollars. I am a Canon user (XSi and T2i). Would any one in my similar situation try this battery ? You can see the battery at calumetphoto.com Thanks

My SB-600 uses four "AA" batteries. I'm getting a couple of months out of one set, so I doubt it would do much for me.

Have you considered this one at almost half the price or more than half the price because I believe it also includes the adapter flash cable?
