Not much urban life in this area. Small towns everywhere. Though we just had a Shelby fest with about 700 mustang. owners coming to town to show and look at Mustangs. The last two pictures are of a cruise by the mustang owners.

Looks like a very nice city, and quite large, buy our standards.

The challenge is Urban life: Buildings, People, Scenes

The idea is to show interesting buildings and urban scenery but also people living in and enjoying their environment. I have a few to get it started but I am confident that there will be submissions that will easily put mine to shame.

See all y'all tomorrow.

These are scenes from Manhattan, New York City. I have many more negatives but lack a negative scanner these days. The Pan Am (now Metlife) Building is one of the most unusual landmarks, because it spans Park Avenue and the Grand Central Railroad station tracks, so it has no basement. All the equipment (boilers, AC, etc.) normally under the building is installed on the upper floors. The Grand Central Station also spans Park Avenue. I shot the NY Subway cover on assignment for Exide Power systems, to illustrate an article I wrote for them.

Good set - we kept our driving in San Francisco to a minimum, basically pick up a rental car and head out of town.
As tourists we thought the public transport was good.

Thanks dane, once in a while we go to downtown Cleveland so I bring my camera. We go on Nautica Queen (out on on Lake Erie) and Goodtime III cruises (on the Cuyahoga river through Cleveland). Have been to the Observation deck in the Terminal Tower building-great bird's eye view from there.
