I have a well represented variety of zooms and primes in my arsenal. What would you recommend? What's your favorite? I will be using/having available a variety of different types of lighting.... flash, bounce flash, natural light, 7000 Kelvin artificial lighting, existing lighting (natural and incandescent).
Unfortunately, the setting is going to require a LOT of ingenuity and creativity! It isn't that I was expecting everything to be ideal.... just sayin'....

Your choice of lens will be dictated by the surroundings. There is no way to use a single lens in all situations.
I don't think there is one right answer here. I does depend on your shooting style, lighting scheme, and the wedding environment. Also, whether you will have an assistant and types of images your client desires. Whichever lenses in your arsenal you choose, it is important to be able to access them quickly so preplanning is essential.
For me, my top two are my 24-70 and 70-200. I get wide apertures with the flexibility to adapt on the fly. I bring a wide angle and macro lens, but seldom use them.
Full frame or crop sensor? At the very minimum two of everything; have a backup. Generally, two cameras: one with a fast, mid-range zoom (24-70mm) and one with a fast short telephoto (70-200mm). These are full frame-crop sensor equivalents - this is the ideal :).
However, I have been looking lately at the Sigma 24-105mm/f4.
Others will have better advice than I have given, I'm sure:)

I agree with Tim, but I should, we often shoot weddings together. For full frame, I agree with the common theme, main lenses are 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8. Crop sensor gets trickier. I like the 17-55 2.8, and 50-150 2.8 Sigma, (discontinued, but a friggin' awesome lens) There are some times that I wish I had a wider lens, but I make it work. People add the 50mm 1.8, to their "holy trinity" but I don't get it. That range is already covered, and I never shoot wide open. You get a stop more light for focusing, but I don't see any issues with focusing a 2.8. (never shoot wide open at 2.8 either)
As Tim Says, the F4 lens is probably fine, you lose yet another stop for focusing. (lens focuses wide open, then stops down to wherever you have it set for actually snapping the picture) With the newer camera bodies, (full frame, and crop sensor) we can shoot at much higher ISO's than in the recent past, so F4 is plenty open for actually shooting.
Hey Tim, ready for the May 20th wedding? I also just got paid in full for the June 6th shoot.
Picking up payment for this Saturday's wedding at 5:00. I've had to chase them for money, and had to be the bad guy saying that if they didn't pay me by tonight, I wouldn't be showing up for the wedding. (an hour's drive from my house)
Jess's open house for "Ruby's Little Red Barn" is this Sunday. I'm trying to finish helping her with construction...so it at least "looks" finished. and trying to get together a "booth" for the open house to get more wedding gigs. She's not done with the barn, and has 2018 mostly booked already!

Yes, ready for the 20th, been on the calendar for some time. Same for the 6th.
If things work out, we may shoot down for the open house. Just to support Jes :)

Welcome to the "joy" of wedding photography :) The only constant is change.
