topshotLoc: Originaly Long Island, N.Y, now live in FL.
Took this shot at an Airshow here in St Augustine, FL. Fortunately, I had the clouds to corporate. Nikon D90, 50mm, F13, shutter speed Bracket 3 shots.
My wife once flew from Burbank Airport to Lake Tahoe on PSA's last remaining Electra, the only aircraft that had high altitude, short field capabilities. As I met her at the gate, I mentioned that that aircraft was last build the year she was born. It was sometimes in the 80s.

The photo is of a Model 10 Electra, the kind that Amelia Earhart vanished in. PSA flew the L-188 Electra, a 4 engine turboprop that was modified into the P-3 Orion ASW aircraft. Two completely different aircraft.
