Took this shot at an Airshow here in St Augustine, FL. Fortunately, I had the clouds to corporate. Nikon D90, 50mm, F13, shutter speed Bracket 3 shots.

The perspective is fantastic. Love the shiny metal with all those reflections. Highly engaging image!

Really nice.

My wife once flew from Burbank Airport to Lake Tahoe on PSA's last remaining Electra, the only aircraft that had high altitude, short field capabilities. As I met her at the gate, I mentioned that that aircraft was last build the year she was born. It was sometimes in the 80s.

Beech doesn't make D18s any more either. Shucky darn. But the photo of this Lockheed is really terrific and it has been well cared for.

The photo is of a Model 10 Electra, the kind that Amelia Earhart vanished in. PSA flew the L-188 Electra, a 4 engine turboprop that was modified into the P-3 Orion ASW aircraft. Two completely different aircraft.

Beautiful photo BTW.
