If one is starting anew, I have to question the wisdom of spending new money on old technology. If it were me I'd be looking at an entry- to mid-level mirrorless ILC body and a lens from one of the respected manufacturers, rather than a DSLR. There are many comparison guides out there.

This thread is 5 years old when the D7200 was essentially new technology.

My bad. I usually check the date but forgot this time and fell into the UHH time warp! (The D7200 was announced in March 2015, so was only 2 years old when the thread was started in 2017.)
