I know somebody that is selling a Canon 5D Mark 2 for $575. It has 57,000 shutter count, should I take it? It is also in perfect condition no scuffs or marks.

That camera should have a shutter life of up to 125,000+ clicks. It sounds like a fair deal. Before buying, check the serial number to see where you can get it repaired, in case something fails later on. I'm certain the warranty has since expired. Good luck.
I now have two 5DII, the second I bought used and it works perfectly. Remember, Canon can replace the shutter mechanism when needed. I think you've got a great buy there.

I see that you're in Wellington, presumably New Zealand. If so, $575 NZD is equal to $396 USD. A good price. The rated life of the shutter is 150,000 actuations. But most 5D2 bodies experience much longer life before the shutter fails.
I have 2 MkII bodies and they are great. someday will jump to MkIV or whatever but new prices keep soaring. will run these babies into the ground then deal with it. canon does terrific fast and affordable repair.
