Our usual routine is to share the morning hours sipping coffee, reading the news and clearing the email.

This morning, after about an hour, my DW said "I think I need a better camera". She had three! I have four.

By the second hour of the morning she had it down to three. She watched a couple of CameraStore videos and made the decision.

She traded in two cameras, returned a pair of shoes and cashed in a Canon printer rebate card. She said the camera was "free".

She is a wonderful photographer. Her composition skills far exceed mine. I have fantastic gear, she takes better pictures.

This is going to be tough on my ego!

She traded in a Panasonic GM1 m4/3 that I tried to move from her inventory to mine without success.

I know how that is supposed to work, but I don't have any shoes to send back for credit.

What I didn't write was how she tracked my camera dreams and bought me the cameras I cherish! One was a Christmas present. The other was a 70th birthday present.

I know the feeling...6 years ago my wife was shooting a little Kodak. She couldn't spell F stop.

Now she is a better shooter than I am and I get her hand me down equipment. Patiently waiting for the D820 to come out so I can get her 810.

It sounds to me as if another GAS attack is just around the corner (a very small corner).

I lust for no cameras! I have exactly what I want.

"She couldn't spell F stop."
I think it is spelled "f-stop" or "f/stop"

You can always buy a Viking stove and become a better chef than her.

If either my wife or I buy something big, we always preface our confessions with "Honey, I did a bad bad thing..."
Last year she did "a bad bad thing" by buying a Boston Whaler for me. I forgave her.

My wife and I have a 'quid pro quo' arrangement for discretionary purchases. That's Latin for 'I get one, she gets three'.
