Back from the usual "rain walk". It's a light, soaking mist that hasn't stopped for several days. Makes me want to hibernate, but once outside and walking, it's fine.
I reworked an image from the old Yashica Mat medium format film camera, tried to bring out the shadows a little more without ruining the image.
The lighting was really difficult in this little canyon, and the old camera with slide film doesn't give much leeway. I used the Sunny 16 rule for the highlights and opened up one stop.
There were a large number of Coho Salmon in the pool; obviously, this was the end of their journey to spawn, as they would not be able to negotiate the series of waterfalls.

This is a great shot I like it.
Got a good one!! Very challenging light conditions!
Thanks Paul and suntouched. I'm thinking that I should have held a polarizer in front of the taking lens, but you have to go with you have at the time.

Beautiful photo especially on the DL
Wow; but you already know that, thanks Mr. Larence!
Thank you much, Jbederka and OutBack.
Beautiful composition, superb tonal range and the light, amazing.
Worth getting wet for.
Well taken.
A beautiful photo done very well in difficult conditions. If you shoot this scene again with a polarizer please do post it. What river or creek is it?
You caught it at the right moment! Great shot!
