Beautiful shots of your little snowbirds, Bob. I'm already missing our White-throated sparrows and their unique and beautiful songs, but we never have but a junco or two and used to have flocks of them.
I have some large Euonymus shrubs around the deck rail and the White Throated Sparrows always land first in there before cautiously hopping out to feed from the deck. Their feeding habits and their body style makes them land like a much larger bird...I even occasionally mistake their movements for that of a squirrel. I remember Corkie remarked a while back that he could hear their "scratching" among the leaves in the early morning when he went out to feed them. Nice to have an opportunity to see the color changes that occur on these species before they depart!
Thanks for visiting, Donna.
