Good morning to all,
Has anyone seen or used this camera? I'd be interested in hearing your impressions.

For $421, it does't seem a heck of a lot different from the FZ 1000: touch screen, post focus, control with your smartphone and a few other things.

I had not seen this comparison between the FZ1000 and this newer FZ2500. The FZ2500 was released to give a lesser priced option to Sony's RX10iii. It falls short of its previous Panasonic model, and the Sony RX10iii.. Disappointing, I would say. Especially for $1200.

I agree. I have an FZ-1000 and like it very much. I paid about $950 a little more than a year ago.

I have not seen the new FZ2500. I own the FZ1000 and am very happy with it. I got mine for $697 last May . It seems to bounce from 697 to 797 every few weeks. Seems to be a lot of bang for the buck. Good luck on your decision.

No, but I recommend considering one of their models with a Micro 4/3 sensor. The Micro 4/3 sensor is much larger than a so-called one inch sensor, which is actually much smaller than one inch.

The larger sensor will provide better high ISO performance and DOF control.

I'm tickled wih their GM5...which they discontinued right after I bought it. I wanted it for the small size. It delivered on that and takes great images.

The replacement G something 850 did away with the EVF in favor of a flip screen. Before the GM 5 I would not have suggested a camera without a viewfinder but the LCD on the GM5 is surprisingly good in bright sun. It helps to use it with the touch screen so I find myself hardly using the EVF. You might want to check out the 850.
