On Easter Sunday, while visiting my mother in law at the Rehab center where she was recovering from major surgery, I happened to get some shots of Turkey Vultures from the residents' patio. There is, indeed some interesting wildlife to be found within the NYC limits
I had to laugh when I started to read your heading . When I was in my teens and walked around pissed a lot of the time , my mother saw a T-shirt that had two buzzards sitting on a dead branch of a tree that had the same words you wrote wrote on the T-shirt . I would say often to me , I'm going to buy you that T-shirt to wear , but she never did . Thanks for the laugh . And I too have many photos of buzzards I took with my camera . The one day just up the road from my place buzzards were circling in the sky and there must of been 10 buzzards in the large tree near by . Glad I had my camera a 400mm lens on . Got some great shots . I'm sure you felt the same way when you took these photos . Tommy
Nice shots, Shutterbugsailer!
Thanks for replying, Kubotaking and Sailorsmom. In reality they werent great shots. They were shot a distance with a slowish 18-300 all in one lens attached to a Pentax K-50. Focusing was hard due to numerous branches coming between me and the subjects, and at full zoom with the lens stopped wide open, the depth of field was quite narrow. I ended up focusing manually. Had I known earlier that they would be there, I would have brought a more powerful zoom.
