I'm carrying a Nikon 7200 and would like to use a camera strap that will make it more comfortable than using the strap that came with the camera. (A pain in the neck...) Recommendations??

I would recommend the Op/Tech sling strap here. Very comfortable and you can get extra attachment loops so you only need one strap for multiple cameras.

Try one of the cross-body systems such as Black Rapid, Bos, Peak Design, etc. One nice feature is you can set them up to have your camera on either your right or left side. I've been using these systems starting since I bought my first DSLR.

Op/Tech. Comfortable, durable and cost effective.

Op/Tech. It is comfortable and it can be quickly removed without clumsy threading straps through a loop.

I have never been one for camera straps.
They can be annoying when you want to remove the strap to do macro.
That is, until a saw this video clip.

Just clips off when you want to do macro and other things without the strap

So I bought one.
Brilliant.
Made in the United States of America, at last.
You will not be disappointed.

I tried Black Rapid and while it was okay I found it unwieldy as it slips around. That's why I went with a HoldFast Money Maker dual cross strap. Extremely comfortable with small and large amounts of gear and it stays put.

For a general walk around strap with a single camera/lens I've reverted back to a Think Tank strap as it's extra long so I can use it cross body with camera resting comfortably against either my front or rear pants pocket. Made of a comfortable soft cloth that's rubberized so it also stays put.

I use the Peak Design and I'm happy. It's a cross body sling.

Tony & Chelsea Northrup have a good youtube video that reviews camera straps.

Although I use Op/Tech on everything, I'm afraid to rely on just one attaching point. I'm sure there's no need for concern, and if one of the connectors on a dual connection setup fails, the camera will still fall. Ironic.

Op/Tech is easily configured since all of their bits and pieces work together with each other. When I'm using more than one body, I have straps with different accent colors at the top to tell them apart easily.

My camera is a D7100 (usually w/ a 18-200) so we are basically identical in our requirements. A couple months ago I purchased a Movo camera strap on Amazon. It is a less expensive alternative to the OEM strap; but, I have thus far found it to be a very comfortable alternative.

Not fancy, expensive "professional", yet very functional.

I like peak design for its ease of putting on and off. Very easy to switch from neck strap to wrist strap.
